Junior Section

You are the future of our game

We have a thriving Junior Section but new members are always most welcome – boys and girls.   We have a range of playing abilities from beginners to excellent golfers.   Our competitions and organised coaching sessions are tailored to meet these diverse requirements.

Types of Membership.

We offer Junior Membership to under-18s.

For those juniors just starting on their golfing journey they may benefit from our Academy membership which will provide a fabulous taster to golf and club life!    Academy membership may hopefully lead to full Junior Membership.

Club Competitions  –  Junior Competitions  –   Organised Events

During the season our juniors are encouraged to play in our Club events.

We feel that it is important to integrate our juniors into the competition environment.   Playing alongside our adult members will help juniors to develop their etiquette skills and their understanding of the game.

In addition to the club competitions there are Junior Club competitions – and especially during school holidays we organise a range of events. There are a number of Junior Cups to be enjoyed and won – and of course, the Junior Club Championship.

We operate an in-house Order of Merit system so juniors can keep track of the progress.

Coaching

Our professional Martin Sutliff and his team are keen to work with our juniors to develop their playing skills.  There are organised practice sessions on Saturday afternoons on course with the junior organisers.   On Sundays there are two group-coaching sessions in which all juniors are welcome including non-members!

Team Matches

We have a team in the South Warwickshire League that plays 12 matches during the year against other golf clubs on a home and away basis.  There are also friendly matches against local clubs – a chance to play different courses.

Always lots going on! We have a Junior Organiser with a team of willing volunteers.
