Our older members enjoy a wide range of golfing and social activities throughout the year.

Roll Up Groups

Over all seven days of the week (Summer & Winter) there are a wide range of regular times for the Roll-up gatherings of members.

No need to arrange partners – just turn up and play with a group of members.   These Roll Ups prove to be very popular with new members and are a great way of integrating into the Club – make new friends.    Newcomers are always welcome.

Additionally, over the years these Roll-up groups have developed a range of internal competitions and social activities – with lasting friendships being established.   Groups have their championships as well as fun events such as “England v The Rest” – just for bragging rights.   Some groups even have away days or away trips!

Seniors Matches

Some of our senior members play County Veterans golf and still play for the Club teams.

In addition, the Seniors play matches against other local clubs.   These are normally home and away fixtures involving teams playing 4-ball-better-ball matches with lunch to follow.

Competitions

The Seniors have a number of competitions for team members to enter.
In addition, the Club has the senior members Championship for the Varney Veterans Trophy.

Social

The Seniors and Roll Up groups organise a range of Social events during the year.
​During the winter the Seniors have a number of 9 hole competitions followed by lunch.
